UNIDENTIFIED Items

UNIDENTIFIED Items are to be treated in the following ways until identified by either the necessary spell or by a merchant dealing in the type of item. Merchants will charge 10 gold per single item, mass-ident MAY incur a discount.

RINGS/AMULETS/JEWELRY:
CANNOT be worn AT ALL

SPELLBOOKS/SCROLLS:
CANNOT be used PERIOD.

POTIONS:
Use BEFORE identification WILL incur a chance of being a POTION OF IOCAINE POWDER.
DM DECISION!! 
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!

ARMOR:
CAN be worn ONLY by characters possessing the NECESSARY FEAT. Treat as STANDARD armor

WEAPONS:
CAN be used by characters possessing necessary feats for use.

NOTE on Armor and Weapons:
Use before identification has a 1d100 chance of DESTROYING the item. USE AT YOUR CHARACTER's RISK! 
DESTROYED items are 100 gold to ID and are USELESS even after identification!
